Beebe

Soprano

Soprano Jessica Beebe is celebrated for her "honey-colored tone" and "the most radiant solo singing," as praised by Opera News. As a sought-after concert soloist, Ms. Beebe has performed with major orchestras and ensembles around the world, including the New York Chamber Orchestra at Carnegie Hall, The English Concert/Clarion Choir at the Barbican Theatre and Carnegie Hall, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the Philadelphia Orchestra, among many others.

Her 2025 calendar offers an exciting lineup, with soloist engagements including Apollo's Fire in Vivaldi in Love where Tim Sawyer of Chicago Classical Review noted “Soprano Jessica Beebe was a standout in the lightish program, singing plaintive arias of Purcell, Monteverdi and Vivaldi with warm, rounded timbre and sighing sensitivity to the lovelorn texts.” The soprano also performs Histories III: Renaissance with Brooklyn Art Song Society, Forrest's Creation with Easton Choral Arts Society, performances of Bach's B Minor Mass and Brahms' Ein deutsches Requiem at the Bach Winter Festival, and Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass with the Omaha Symphony.

In 2024, Ms. Beebe returned to Opera Philadelphia for the world premiere of The Listeners by Missy Mazzoli and Royce Vavrek and took on the role of Dido in a concert version of Dido and Aeneas with Philadelphia Bach Collegium/Choral Arts Society. Her operatic highlights also include premiering multiple operas by Jennifer Higdon, Lembit Beecher, and David Hertzberg with Opera Philadelphia, performing Handel's Messiah with Bergen National Opera in Norway, and making her Los Angeles Philharmonic debut in Meredith Monk's opera, Atlas.

Her numerous concert appearances that same season include several productions of Messiah as well as rarely performed repertoire such as Garras de Oro by Carreño, Devienne’s Les Visitandines and Lamento della Ninfa by Monteverdi.

A versatile artist, Ms. Beebe is a member of Variant 6, The Crossing, Seraphic Fire, Clarion, Lorelei, Trio Eos and The Thirteen, and has appeared on several GRAMMY- nominated albums with The Crossing and Clarion Ensemble.
