Known for her interpretations of Rossini and Mozart, she has been featured in recent seasons as Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia with Orlando Opera, Geneva Light Opera, and the Gulf Coast Symphony, as well as the title role in La Cenerentola with Geneva Light Opera. Likewise, her Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, and Dorabella in Cosi fan Tutte have charmed audiences at Opera Tampa, Opera Orlando, St. Petersburg Opera, and Winter Opera of St. Louis.
In addition, Ms. Nordin has sung the title role of Carmen, Charlotte in Werther, Isabella in L’Italiana in Algeri, Maddalena in Rigoletto, Nicklausse in Tales of Hoffmann, and Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus in multiple venues, including Lakeland Opera, Opera del West, Long Island Opera, Gulfshore Opera, the Missouri Symphony and the Livingston Symphony. Additional credits include the Caramoor Festival, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Central City Opera, and Opera North.
2021/22 engagements include Lydia in Penelope Ann’s Revenge with First Coast Opera, Angelina in La Cenerentola with Geneva Light Opera, Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte with St. Petersburg Opera, and Mrs. Brandram in Gilbert vs Sullivan, Suzuki in Madama Butterfly, and Nicklausse in Les contes d’Hoffmann with Opera Tampa.
Newer works comprise a significant part of Sarah Nordin’s career. Most notably, she premiered the role of Mary Eden Thompson in The Circuit Rider’s Wife, which included a three-year tour and original cast recording.
